ART and the BODY POLITICK” is a provocative exhibition showcasing the discourse and revelation of artists questioning and commenting on societal reality in the 21st century.
The underlying question in this visual narrative centers around how the creative visions of artists can help heal our collective body and ensure that healthy debate and diversity continue to be the hallmark of American democracy. Sometimes an infection needs to be lanced and drained before healing. The work in this exhibition does exactly that – They pierce the illusions, stimulate the political discourse, and engage us bodily in the discussion over our governance.
