Pueblo Nuevo Gallery this April 23rd
cohosted by XOCHITLCEIVE: FLOWER OF SELF DETERMINATION and LOS RAKAS.
In solidarity with youth movements from the Bay to Panama and across Nuestra America Libre we come together as young people using the arts as expression to empower our communities. We celebrate the living legacy and enduring struggle of our ancestors for human rights to land and life.
Installation features graphics and performance art documentation created by XOCHITLCEIVE feat Les DIME Lopez and Natalia García Pasmanick as well as collaborations and mulitmedia solo work by our mentors MELANIE CERVANTES and JESÚS BARRAZA with illustrations by ANGEL DIAZ and video work by P.A. HERNANDEZ and YAKfilms.

Representatives from community organizations we have collaborated with will be on the mic throughout the night sharing the work they are doing here in the Bay and how you can contribute.. $5-50 requested donation at the door allows us to continue these collaborations and take our art and demands nationally and internationally. No one turned away for lack of funds! Limited edition prints, merchandise, arroz con pollo and drinks will also be sold throughout the night.
